1. Knowledge
- Having general knowledge of the Basic Principles of Marxism - Lenin; Revolutionary Line of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Ho Chi Minh Thought and basic scientific knowledge for Automotive Engineering Technology.
- Collecting, analyzing working principles, structure of details and systems of engines, chassis, automobile power, control techniques, comfort equipment and automatic control on vehicles. Applying the knowledge to calculate the systems to ensure durability, the electrical system of the automobile, the control system.....
- Analyzing and trouble shooting the causes of damage during the operation of vehicles. Understanding and implementing the inspection, maintenance, repair of automobiles, motor and automotive experiments.
2. Skills
- Designing parts, detail assemblies of cars and researching some parts to improve utility efficiency.
- Testing, diagnosising, operating, maintening, repairing and inspecting automobiles.
- Evaluating and constructing technological process of assembly, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of automobiles.
- Preparing projects, managing production and business services related to automotive engineering industry; assembling, registering, buying and selling vehicles and spare parts.
- Calculatiing working processes of internal combustion engine in order to optimize the durability measures for automobile engines, selecting engines to suit the load of vehicles.
- Calculating economic and technical criteria of cars to make effective plans for exploitation and use.
- Designing and improving electric circuits, electronics on cars to optimize the use process.

- Organizing and implementing technology transfer in the field of Automotive.
- English or Chinese language ability reaching level 3/6 of language competency framework of Vietnam and Informatics technology training standard framework meets the requirements of the major.

- Having ability to set up working groups, planning, coordinating and promoting individual and collective intelligence in implementing projects in the field of Automotive Engineering Technology.
- Having ability to guide and supervise other people to perform tasks
- Having ability to make conclusions about professional issues, common business and some complex issues related to technology and engineering of Automotive Engineering Technology sector.
